Dear ICAMErs, May 20th is fast approaching and we are very excited to host the first ICAME conference in a fully digital format.
The theme for the 41st ICAME is Language and Linguistics in a Complex World: Data, Interdisciplinarity, Transfer, and the Next Generation!
Please have a look at both our official announcement as well as the third Circular including our preliminary program.
We would like to invite you to join us for the Conference Opening on Wednesday 20th March at 17:00 CET.
We are very happy to announce Celeste Rodriguez Louro, Michaela Mahlberg, and Ina Schlie as the panelists for the ICAME 41 Panel Discussion. The panel will be moderated by Beatrix Busse.
While the majority of the conference will take place in an asynchronous format, we will also have a number of exciting live events including (also see our preliminary program):
- Plenaries by Berenike Herrmann, Douglas Biber, Laurel Brinton, Laurence Anthony, and Miriam Meyerhoff
- Panel Discussion – At the Tipping Point: To Be (Public) or Not To Be (Public) in Corpus Linguistics
- An exciting two-day Design Thinking Workshop: Corpus Linguistics goes Public (places are limited)
- General Assembly
We will update this website continuously and keep you posted! We will also be sending out further circulars with all the most important information.
We are looking forward to meeting you in the digital space.
All our best wishes, stay healthy and safe,
Beatrix Busse and her team
