Willkommen in Heidelberg! Welcome to Heidelberg!

Dear ICAMERs, given the current Corona crisis, we very much regret to announce that ICAME 41, unfortunately, will not take place at Heidelberg University in the anticipated conference format. Instead, we shall try to go digital! You can find detailed information and our official announcement here.

Presentations are selected, contributors have been informed about the decision, and registration is now open! Please also be aware of our Call for Collaboration in Corpus Projects.

We’re looking forward to hosting the 41st ICAME conference from May 20–24, 2020 at the English Department of Heidelberg University (see our Venues).

The theme for ICAME 41 is Language and Linguistics in a Complex World: Data, Interdisciplinarity, Transfer, and the Next Generation!

ICAME 41 will feature two new formats: a panel discussion (At the Tipping Point: Communication, (Corpus) Linguistics and (Linguistic) Education) as well as a new two-hour workshop session (Corpus Linguistics Goes Public).

Furthermore, the conference will be paperless. For the first time (as far as we know) in ICAME history, we are also going to offer the option of having plenaries and presentations recorded and/or streamed for people who cannot attend the event in person.

We will update this website continuously and keep you posted! As the conference date comes closer, we will also be sending out circulars with all the most important information.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Heidelberg!
